Paula Haywood Freeman

Paula Haywood Freeman, 72, of S. Tomlinson St., Candor, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Holly Mount Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ben Hall officiating. Born in Montgomery County on August 1, 1944, she was the daughter of Alfred Franklin and Janie Stutts Haywood. She was a retired hog farmer. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Freeman in 2013, a grandchild, Jennifer Freeman and a great-grandchild, Wyatt Lambeth. She is survived by 2 sons, James Richard Freeman, Jr. of Candor, and Rodney Freeman of Mt. Gilead; 3 daughters, Robin Ross of Candor, Ronda Jones of Mt. Gilead, and Reba Freeman of Mt. Gilead; brother, Jessie Haywood of Biscoe; sister, Peggy Brock of Fayetteville; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
