Paul Yates

Mr. Paul Yates, age 84 of Daniel Road, Denton NC died Monday, December 19 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 22 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Flynn Richardson. Burial with Military Honors will be at Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 1:00 TO 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home. Mr. Yates was born April 5, 1932 in Davidson County to Fred Gallimore and Gladys Yates. He was the retired owner/operator of Yates Paving and Grading Company in Savannah, Ga. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Nina Daniel (Dean) Yates of the Home; sons, Gary Yates (Deborah), Ston Yates and Todd Yates (Leigh); half brother, Steve Gallimore (Bonnie) of Lexington; half sisters, Greta Grubb of Lexington, Claudette Bevan (Frank) of Thomasville, Frannie Robbins (Dale) of Lexington and Janie Ayers of Yanceville; grandchildren, Christal Yates, Daniel Yates (Brooke) and Gary Yates, Jr.; 2 Great Grandchildren.
