Candor-Paul Williams Paul Dudley Williams, 77, of E. Blake Street in Candor, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. Graveside Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Candor Cemetery with Rev. Bill Turnmire officiating. Born October 9, 1931in Moore County, he was the son of Lexie and Stella Hussey Williams. He was a maintenance worker with Mansion Homes. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy, in March, 2007. He is survived by a daughter, Paula Asbill and husband David of Biscoe; a son, Lexie Joe Williams and wife Annette of Troy; 2 sisters, Betty Lou Hicks of Candor and Barbara Ring of Vass; 4 Grandchildren, Christie Williams Dawkins (Michael), Mistie Williams, David Asbill III (Lisa) and Paul Asbill (Ashley); 2 Great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Aiden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
