Paul Ray Branson

Paul Ray Branson, 81, of Samarcand Rd., Eagle Springs, died March 19, 2016 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 24 at Bensalem Presbyterian Church conducted by Pastor Mark Carver. A private burial will be at Macedonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Mr. Branson was born June 29, 1934 in Chatham County to John Henry Branson and Ruth Strother Branson. He was a member of Bensalem Presbyterian Church. Paul had worked as Parts Department Manager at Montgomery Motors. He spent his retirement volunteering and helping friends. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Harris Branson on June 7, 2010. Surviving are sons, Ray Harris Branson and wife Betsy of Gallup, NM and Franklin Paul Branson and wife Mamie of Trinity; brothers, Loy Branson of Candor and Bobby Branson of Apex; sister Arie Lee Cox and husband Jay of Taos, NM; grandchildren, Elliot Branson and Avery Branson; sister-in-law, Mildred Harris of Sunset Beach, NC; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Candor Funeral Home.
