Patsy Simmons Williams

CANDOR-Patsy Simmons Williams, 75 of East Blake Street, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at the UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 26, 2007 at the Candor Cemetery with Rev. Bill Turnmire officiating. A native of Montgomery County, Mrs. Williams was born January 7, 1932, the daughter of Joe Simmons and Minnie Comer Simmons. She was a member of Candor Baptist Church and was a seamstress for many years at Gilead Mfg. She leaves behind her beloved companion, Snowflake. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Paul D. Williams, a daughter, Paula W. Asbill and husband David of Biscoe; a son, Lexie Joe Williams and wife Annette of Troy; a sister, Alice Smith of Southern Pines; 4 Grandchildren, Christie and Mistie Williams, David Asbill, III and Paul Asbill. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Blake St. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Relay for Life, Montgomery County, 6000 Fairview Rd.,Suite 200, Charlotte NC 28210.
