Otho Robinson

Otho Robinson, 88, of NC Hwy 731 East, Candor, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Sardis United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Born in Montgomery County on June 24, 1933, he was the son of Lacy M., Sr. and Mayzella Poole Robinson. He was a veteran of the US Army, a graduate of Candor High School and a self-employed business owner and forester. He was a member of Biscoe Masonic Lodge #437. Otho is survived by his wife of 45 years, Claire Thompson Robinson; son, Donald Lee Robinson of Moore Co.; daughter, Lynn Johnson (Scott) of Gainesville FL; sister, Belle Covington (Curtis) of Candor; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Mollie Johnson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
