Opal Bean Shaw

Opal Bean Shaw, 90, formerly of NC HWY 8, Denton passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Mountain Vista Health Park.

A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Mr. Kenneth Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Opal was born August 3, 1929 in Davidson County to Robin Bean and Jessie Eller Bean. She was a homemaker and had worked in the furniture industry. In addition to her parents Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Junior Shaw; her brothers, Benny, William, Calvin, Fred, Johnny, and Jacob Bean; her sisters, Lissie Bean and Katheleen Frye.

She is survived by son, Dink Shaw and wife Donna of Denton; 1 granddaughter, Angie Shaw; 3 great-grandson, Seth, Ethan, and Jamal.
