Opal Coggin Dockham

Mrs. Opal Coggin Dockham, age 89 formerly of Forest Park Drive, Denton, NC died Thursday, July 11 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 13 at Denton Town Cemetery. The family will see friends following the service at Central United Methodist Church Hut. Mrs. Dockham was born September 26, 1923 in Davidson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church where she taught a pre-school Sunday School Class for over 25 years. She was married to Elwood Charles Dockham who died December 4, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Dockham and by 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, Jerry Dockham and wife Louise of Denton, and by grandsons, Andrew Dockham and Matthew Dockham and wife Kelly all of Washington, DC, Memorials may be made to the charity of the Donor’s Choice. Briggs Funeral Home is serving the Dockham family.
