Opal Margaret Davis

Miss Opal Margaret Davis, age 86 of Floyd Church Road, Lexington, NC died Friday, September 4 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 9 at Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Derald Smith. The body will lie in state at Briggs Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 5:00 pm Tuesday, September 8. Miss Davis was born September 5, 1933 in Davidson County to Garf Davis and Florence Owens Davis. She was a homemaker and had worked at Thornton Knitting Company. She was preceded in death by her parents and by brothers Otis Davis and Thurman Davis and sisters Octavia Fritts and Louise Faulkner. She is survived by her brother Paul Davis and wife Linda of Lexington.and a nephew Chris Davis; a niece Lisa Strickland and a great niece Laney Crouse.
