Ollie Leach

Mrs. Ollie Settle Leach, age 89 of Leach Road, Candor died Monday, August 14 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mrs. Leach was born February 17,1917 in Wilkes County to Ira Franklin Settle and Lucinda Billings Settle. She was a member of Maceonia Presbyterian Church and a retired cook with Samarcand Manor. She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Leach in 1987. She is survived by daughters, Sara Thompson and Scarlette Leach both of Candor and Becky Roach of Albemarle. A son James "J W" Leach of Augusta, Ga and a brother Jeff Settle of Marietta Ga. 7 Grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Macedonia Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Presbyterian Church PO Box 340, Candor, NC 27229
