Biscoe NC-David Evans Olin David Evans, 72 of Small Rd., Biscoe, died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill Turnmire and Rev. Paul Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Candor Cemetery. A native of Sumter, SC, Mr. Evans was born April 26, 1935, the son of John Edward Evans and Martha Elizabeth Walker. He was retired from the US Army, achieving the rank of Command Sergeant Major. He was also a member of N.C. Beagle Association, Midstate Beagle Club and the Cross Creek Beagle Club. Mr. Evans was a member of Candor Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Lamonds Evans of the home; a daughter, Donna Dunn of Biscoe; a son, David E. Evans of the home; 2 sisters, Nelle Tomlinson of Sumter SC and Betty Pritchard of Alcolu SC; 2 grandchildren, Clinton Evan Garner and Jon Caleb Garner. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Small Rd.
