DENTON-Mrs. Ola Mae Underwood Bisher, age 97 formerly of Nance Rd., Denton, died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Mountain Vista Health Park. Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Canaan United Methodist Church with the Revs. James Cooper and Stan Champion officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bisher was born April 11, 1909 in Davidson County, the daughter of Joshua Underwood and Lou Watford Underwood. She was a school teacher for 36 years in Randolph and Davidson County, and a charter member of Canaan UMC, where she was also an active member. She was a graduate of High Point College. Mrs. Bisher was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Val Bisher in 1994 and a grandson, Chris Bisher on June 15, 2006. She is survived by 2 sons, Don U. Bisher and Max C. Bisher, both of Denton ;a daughter, Vonciel B. Snider of Denton and a sister Hazel Morris of Lexington; 4 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Memorials may be made to the Church Building Fund, c/o Emily Nance
