Odessa Gallimore

Ms. Odessa Bryant Gallimore age 88, formerly of NC HWY 109 S. Denton, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 at Mountain Vista Health Park. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Blount and Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating. Burial will follow at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Gallimore was born in Davidson County on August 23, 1928. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was active with the United Methodist Women. She had worked as Town Clerk of Denton for many years and later retired from Davidson County Health Department. Odessa was preceded in death by her husband, Hyatt Gallimore. Surviving is son, Terry H. Gallimore of Goldsboro; daughters, Karen Argo and husband Tony of Fayetteville and Lanette Tysinger and husband John of Denton; 2 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of her daughter Lanette Tysinger on E. NC HWY 47, Denton.
