Nellie Mae Floyd Clodfelter, 96, formerly of Snyder Station Rd., Denton, NC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. She was the last surviving child of the late John Roby Floyd and Mary Parrish Floyd, born on March 8, 1929, in Davidson County, NC.
Nellie dedicated much of her career to the textile industry, where she worked diligently as a looper and seamer. Her contributions not only helped support her family but also showcased her strong work ethic and dedication to her craft.
A devoted member of Summerville Baptist Church, Nellie’s faith was an integral part of her life. She found comfort and community within her church, impacting the lives of many with her kindness and spirit.
Nellie is survived by her loving daughter, Judy Snider; her granddaughter, Alita Thompson, and her husband Fred; along with her cherished grandchildren, Brooke Thompson and Tanner Thompson. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Clodfelter.
Visitation will be held at Summerville Baptist Church, located at 3134 Summerville Church Road in Denton, NC, on December 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Daniel Shuskey. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family invites all who knew and loved Nellie to join them in honoring her remarkable life and legacy.
