Ned C Gallimore

Mr. Ned Columbus Gallimore, age 76 of Crousetown Road, Lexington, NC died Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton Mr. Gallimore was born June 29, 1929 in Davidson County to William Clyde Gallimore and Luda Pennell Gallimore. He was a member of Walters Grove Baptist Church and a retired employee of Bill’s Hosiery Mill. He was married to Elsie Harrison Gallimore who died in 1978. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jay Gallimore and Billy Ray Gallimore He is survived by his sons,Rick Gallimore and wife Angie of Denton; Ronald Ned Gallimore and wife Janice of Asheboro.Brothers, Raymond Gallimore of Denton and Sherman Gallimore of Roanoke, Va., and sisters Fay Gallimore of Thomasville, Joyce Gallimore of Denton, Glenda Scott of Greensboro and Betty Davis of Hickory. Grandchildren,Tina Asbill and husband Paul Shane Asbill; Kimberly Hunt and husband Chad Hunt; Chris Howell and Chan Howell and Great Grandhcildren Preston Asbill, Carson Asbill, Lane Hunt and Maximus Howell. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Fred Miller and Rev. Jay Hulin. Burial will follow in Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of the son, Rick Gallimore, 19393 S. NC Hwy # 109, Denton.
