Neal "Tuck" Morris

Mr. Neal Larry “Tuck” Morris, Sr., age 76, of Denton died Monday at High Point Regional Hospital. Funeral service for Mr. Morris will be 4:00 pm Thursday, February 14 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Vern Peterson and Rev. Sandy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 pm Thursday at the church, prior to the service. Mr. Morris was born April 27, 1936 in Davidson County to Mood Alexander and Eunice Snider Morris. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. Prior to his retirement he was owner/operator of Morris Carpet and Furniture Cleaning of High Point. He was a former member of the Denton Fire Department and had coached youth basketball in the Denton area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Neal Larry Morris, Jr., a sister, Hazel Short and seven brothers, Max Morris, Donald Morris, Garland Morris, Vestal Morris, Bob Morris, M. A. Morris and Richard Morris. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 54 years, Imogene Walker Morris of the home, one son, Mark Walker Morris and wife Katherine of Arden , two sisters Evadean Chandler and husband Benny of Denton and Evelyn Younts of Trinity, four grandchildren, Hayden Morris, Matthew Morris, Michael Morris and Kaitlin Morris.
