Vernon Neal Kiser, 60, of Charles Mountain Rd., Denton, died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at his residence after a 6 month battle with cancer. Funeral Service will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at New Hope United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bobby Lorton and Rev. Melvin Morton officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Fellowship Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Charles Mountain Rd., Denton. Born in Randolph County on October 7, 1960, he was the son of the late Billy V. and Stella Caviness Kiser. He was raised by his mom and dad, J.C. and Margie Caviness Kiser. He was a Tool and Die Supervisor, having worked at Ultra-Mek for 34 ½ years. Neal was a 1978 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School. He was preceded in death by his dad, J.C. Kiser; sisters, Debbie Kiser Slaughter and Jeanne Kiser Clark; and his mother in law, Nancy Ball Hogan. He is survived by his wife of 41 ½ years, Elaine Hogan Kiser of the home; 4 daughters, Kristen Kiser Elberson (Scotty) of Denton, Stella Kiser Hineline (Christopher) of Denton; Dr. Hagan O’Neal Kiser (fiance’ Austin Lynthacum) of Troy, and Dr. Carolina Boxberger Gabriel of Germany; mother, Margie Kiser of Erect, NC; Father-in-law, Alvin Val Hogan, Sr of Denton; he was the cherished grandfather of Lorelei Elberson, Ryleigh Hineline, Laken Elberson, and Ryder Hineline; 3 sisters, Cynthia Kiser Graves (Barry David) of Hope Mills, Rebecca Kiser Tedder of Asheboro, and Helen Kiser Beck (Bernard) of Erect NC; 2 brothers, James Alan Kiser (and his favorite sister-in-law, Deborah) of Asheboro, and Christopher Lee Kiser (fiancée Julie Robbins) of Texas; a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his work family, Steve Hoffman, Marc Murphy, Shane Hoffman, Bill Bencini, Mark Hogan, Beth Bunting and many more. Mr. Kiser was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, co-worker, friend and father figure to many friends over the years. He was his daughter’s and grandchildren’s number one fan in everything they did.
