Naomi Bean

Naomi Shaw Bean, 75, of Denton Rd. died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Monday, Oct. 29 at Summerville Baptist Church where she was a member with Rev. Claudie Harrison and Rev. Tom McLean officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bean was born March 9, 1932 in Davidson County to Luther and Jeanette Cross Shaw. She worked as a finisher and retired from Council Craftsman. In addition to being a member at Summerville Baptist Church she also sang in the Choir and kept the Nursery. Survivors include, husband Jacob Alexander Bean, of the home; daughter Wanda Harrison and husband Claudie of Denton; sister Margaret Rickard of Lexington; grand daughter, Amy Thompson and husband Ransom of Denton and grandson Adam Latham of Denton; great grand daughter Alaina Thompson. The family will see friends on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Denton Rd.. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care given to Mrs. Bean by Hospice of the Piedmont especially by her nurse Cyndee Cromer and aide Betsy Anderson.
