Nannie Holloway Hamilton

Nannie Holloway Hamilton, age 94, of Mountain Vista Health Park, Denton, formerly of Asheboro died Wednesday night, February 25 at Mountain Vista. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Saturday, February 28 at Southside Cemetery in Troy with Rev. John Leviner officiating. Mrs. Hamilton was born April 22, 1914 in Durham County to Joseph S. Holloway, Sr. and Minnie Bell Markham Holloway. She was a homemaker and was of the Wesleyan faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Walton Hamilton on Feb. 3, 1971, two sons, Darrell Hamilton and George Hamilton and a great-granddaughter, Kristen Hughes. She is survived by a daughter, Cornelia Ann Hamilton of Asheboro, a brother, Joseph S. Holloway, Jr. of Asheboro, one grandchild Debra Hughes of Hickory and one great-grandchild, Paula Hamilton of the Farmer community. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Saturday, prior to the service, at Briggs Funeral Home in Troy.
