Myrtie Kennedy

Mrs. Myrtie Brown Kennedy, age 96 of Kennedy Road, Eagle Springs died Friday, June 14 at Peak Resource/Pinelake in Carthage. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 17 at Bensalem Presbyterian Church conducted by Dr. Mark Carver. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements Mrs. Kennedy was born March 12, 1917 in Moore County to Hugh T. Brown and Annie G. Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Bensalem Presbyterian Church. She was married to John Mack Kennedy who died February 9, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Inez K. Lewis and by a step-mother. She is survived by daughters, Peggy K. Rankin and husband Thomas of Hamlet and Linda K. Williams and husband Paul of Greensboro. 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; 3 half-sisters and 3 half-brothers.
