Mrs. Mozelle Moore Cagle, age 88 of Volunteer Rescue Road, Denton, NC died Tuesday, July 1 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 5 at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Conley, Rev. Jack Luther and Rev. J. Harold Hammond. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence. Mrs. Cagle was born January 22, 1926 in Randolph County to Dias Moore and Pallie Latham Moore. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Choir, Church Historian, Chairman of the Prayer Line, Chairman of the Flower Committee, a member of the United Women and had worked in the Bible School program. She was a homemaker and was also a retired employee of Klopman Mills Asheboro Plant and later worked several years at Mountain Vista Health Park. During World War II she sewed Parachutes for the War effort. She is survived by her husband Glen Cagle of the home; daughters Donna Miller and husband Marlan and Rhonda Doby and husband Ernest all of Denton; sons Roger Cagle and wife Amanda, Harold Cagle and wife Carolyn, Lawrence Cagle and wife Carolyn and Joe Cagle and wife Judy all of Denton; a sister Joan Becraft of Asheboro; 10 Grandchildren; 16 great Grandchildren and 1 great great Grandchild.
