Born in Moore County on November 25, 1995, he was the son of Michael Wayne Wallace and Penny Callicutt Wallace. Mitchell was a self-employed entrepreneur.
He is survived by his parents, Penny Wallace of the home and Michael Wallace of Riverview FL; his son, Mason Mitchell Wallace of the home; sister, Samantha Raelyn Wallace of the home; brother, Nicholas Wallace of the home; nephew, Jaxon Wallace; Paternal Grandfather, Mike Wallace (Charleen) of Rockingham, Paternal Grandmother, Sandra Wallace of Candor; Maternal Grandmother, Dorene Gray (Wayne McInnis) of Biscoe, and Maternal Grandfather, Bill Moss (Donna) of Lexington.
Michael Mitchell Wallace lived most of his life in Montgomery County, North Carolina. From 2000 to 2005 he lived with his parents, Penny and Mike, in Newberry County, South Carolina. It is there that siblings, Nick and Sami, were born. Mitchell's nicknames were "MicMic" as a toddler (to differentiate the three generations of Michaels), and "Tata" as the older brother. From then on he was Mitchell. He graduated from East Montgomery High School and went on to Sandhills Community College.
At an early age Mitchell started talking and never stopped. Why this...? Why that??? Why, why why. He started talking at 7 months, walking at 8. He came out "wide open" and never stopped. He craved knowledge and challenged everything but teachers say he rarely opened a book. He never knew a stranger. He had a heart of gold. Those pretty blue eyes could charm a snake! He loved dogs. He led an unconventional life style. What his great grandfather, Robert Johnson, worked to provide for him in Candor is where he considered home even though he did not reside there.
Mitchell loved music rap music, hip hop.
Mitchell's longest relationship was with Mercedes. She is the mother of the true love of his life, his son, Mason. He carries on the initials of MMW. He doted on Mason; he toted Mason around everywhere. The purest love that Mitchell found was the love for, and from his child. He wanted Mason to have everything; to know everything; to do everything.
Mitchell "wheeled and dealed" at an early age but when CBD became legal in North Carolina, he found a way to take his knowledge and love of all things Hemp to a new level by opening his first (of three stores) in Rockingham in 2018. We all know he had an intimate knowledge of the products he sold and more. And, he educated any and all at every opportunity,
He lived life on the edge. He wrecked 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, cars and more pushing speed limits and life's limits. He was an adrenaline junkie. His death is a tragic loss. Our faith helps us understand that Mitchell's physically being with us is done. We now know and understand that he was at peace at the moment of impact, free of his internal battles.
We grieve for our loss and thought we'd live on without him. Since Friday, we have experienced doors opening with breezes passing by us; a coolness in an otherwise warm room washes fears and anxiety away in an instant; an unexplainable peacefulness comes over us in an otherwise chaotic moment. He is with us in ways we could never imagine.
