Minnie Coppley Bailey

Minnie Coppley Bailey, 74, of Harvard St. Denton, NC passed away at Atrium Health Pineville on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 4, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. John Matney and Rev. Lacy Justice.  Burial will follow at the Matney Family Cemetery on Dakota’s Trail in Denton.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of daughter Tracy Matney.

Minnie was born March 26, 1947, in Davidson County to Willie Coppley and Myrtle Owens Coppley. She had worked as a knitter for Denton Hosiery Mill and later she worked at Councill Craftsman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Cleo Bailey; sister, Ruth Ann Gallimore; and a brother, Bruce Coppley.

She is survived by sons, Deon and Danny Bailey both of Denton; daughters, Tonya Duggins, Tracy Matney, and Lisa Graham all of Denton; brothers, Tony Coppley of Thomasville and Jimmy Coppley of Lexington; sisters, Kim Potts and Linda Miller both of Denton.
