Mildred Spivey

February 14, 1921 — November 10, 2018

Ms. Mildred Campbell Spivey, 97, of Vancroft St., Asheboro and formerly of Biscoe passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Long Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Forrest, Rev. Ricky Chappell, and Grandson, Kevin Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Tuesday at Long Hill Baptist Church prior to the funeral service and other times at the residence on Vancroft St. in Asheboro.

Ms. Spivey was born February 14, 1921 in Montgomery County to James Arthur Campbell and Etta Mae Elam Campbell. She was a member of Long Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Spivey, Sr. and son, Ronald William “Ronnie” Spivey.

She is survived by; son, James Edward Spivey, Jr. of Zachary, La.; daughter, Martha Freeman of Asheboro; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
