Michael “Papa” Lance Clark, 65, of NC HWY 8, Denton, NC passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Jeff Gardner. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mr. Clark was born on October 12, 1958, in Hartsville, South Carolina, the son of James Earl Clark and Jane Howle Clark. He had been employed as a pipe fitter foreman. After moving to North Carolina, he became a member of Summerville Baptist Church and he went on to work for Georgia Pacific, J.T. Russell, Norfolk Southern, and lastly at High Point Regional Hospital. He enjoyed going fishing, working, antique shopping, loafing, and most of all he had a deep love for his entire family. He was preceded in death by his father, James Earl Clark.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Campbell Clark of the home; son, Mickey Lance Clark and wife Brittany of Denton; daughters, Jessie Clark Morris and Brandy Lynn Clark both of Denton; his mother, Jane Howle Clark; sister, Angela Brewer of Hartsville, SC; his brother-in-law whom he thought of as a brother, Tracy Campbell of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Jake Ferguson, Ada Jones, Campbell Morris, Brady Clark, and Willow Clark.
