Michael Lee Harris, 19, of Cid Rd. Lexington passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at his residence.
A celebration of life service will be held 4:00 pm Monday, Dec. 3 at Denton Wesleyan Church with speakers, Dr. Ed Reedy and Dr. Karrie Stansfield. A private inurnment will be held later at Walter’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Michael was born July 4, 1999 in Davidson County to Rickey E. Harris and Georgia Varner Harris. He graduated from South Davidson High School class of 2017 and was attending Pfeiffer University until a decline in health. Michael had a great passion for anything about Harry Potter and he loved Walt Disney World. He attended Denton Wesleyan church.
Michael was preceded in death by his twin brother, Mark Harris; maternal grandfather, Varis Workman; paternal grandparents, Edsel and Arlene Harris, great-aunt, Ora Grubb; and Aunt, Amy Davis.
He is survived by his parents, Rickey and Georgia Harris of the home; sister, Melissa Triplette and husband Chris of Lexington; brother, Matthew Harris of Lexington; nephew, Oliver Triplette; maternal grandmother, Elsie Workman of Thomasville; aunts, Amy Harris, Doralene “Big Sissy” Black and husband Mike; Sylvia Hicks and husband David, and Lisa Bingham and husband Scott; and by host of cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
There will be a gathering of friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Melissa Triplette on Cid Rd.
