Melvin Thomas Robinson, 81, of Candor, died Monday, May 02, 2011 at Autumn Care of Biscoe. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Candor Cemetery. Born on July 8, 1929 in Montgomery County, he was the son of John Miller and Ada Belle Brewer Robinson. He was a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Grace Craven Robinson of the home; 2 sons, Thomas and Darrell Steve Robinson, both of Candor; 4 daughters, Bonnie Montgomery of Jamestown, Donnie Ramm of Greensboro, Wanda McCormick of San Diego, CA and Beth Robinson of Climax; 2 sisters, Dorothy Thompson of Mt. Gilead and Maxine Reynolds of Candor; 8 Grandchildren; 8 Great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the home of a son, Thomas Robinson, NC Hwy 731 East, Candor.
