Maxine Capel Robinson

Maxine Capel Robinson, 94, of Troy, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Troy, with Rev. Ed Lowder and Rev. Eddie Brackett officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. Born in Montgomery County on February 5, 1923, she was the daughter of Max and Virginia Bruton Capel. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy, the Troy Mother’s Club and in the WMU at First Baptist Church. She retired from the Department of Social Services of Montgomery County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Robinson in 2005, a grandson, Ryan Royal and a sister, Agnes Magarian. Mrs. Robinson is survived by a son, Danny Robinson and wife Dottie of Troy; 2 daughters, Kay Tuggle and husband Bill of Troy, and Virginia Nachand and husband Peter of Rural Hall; sister, Jeannette Fletcher of McCall, SC; 5 grandchildren, Chris Royal and wife Angie, Tyler Nachand, Catherine Nachand, Karen Binns, and Steve Pope; 4 great-grandchildren, Houston Ryan Royal, Derek Binns, Damon Binns, and Delaina Binns; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Audreyna Binns, Bryce Binns, and Coltin Binns. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 PM Friday prior to the service at First Baptist Church. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful caregivers, Kathleen and Diane Green, Yvonne Thompson, Sara Tyndall, Karen McRae and the special care, love, and support of Gladys and Tommie Marshall. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Troy, PO Box 442, Troy NC 27371. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
