Max Morris

Max Gardner Morris, 77, of Ophir Road, Troy, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at his home. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Ophir United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Casey Harris officiating. He was a native of Montgomery County, a retired sawyer with Troy Lumber Company and a member of Ophir U.M.C. Surviving are wife, Mary Lee F. Morris of the home; daughter, Susan Harris of Troy; son, Robert F. Morris of Biscoe. Memorials may be made to Ophir U.M.C., c/o Kaye Norris, 194 Thayer Road, Troy NC 27371.
