Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 14 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers and Rev. James Draughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Denton Town Cemetery. Mr. Andrews was born February 3, 1938 in Davidson County to Lewis Reid and Flaudie Varner Andrews. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He had worked with Billings Trucking and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Elkins and husband Michael of Sophia and Louise Shaw and companion Jimmy Surratt of Denton, brother Gene Andrews and wife Helen of Asheboro and sister Faye Whitt and husband Mike of Denton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the sister’s home at 850 Gallimore Road, Denton.
