Matthew Wade Turner

Matthew Wade Turner, 46, of Farmbrook Dr., Denton died Friday, June 4, 2010 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mr. Turner was born June 6, 1963 in New Jersey to Charles D. Turner and Verna (Mae) Ridenhour Turner. He was a truck driver for over 25 years and had driven for Billings freight for 20 of those years and recently with Trinity Transport. His C B Handle was Chief and he was known for giving directions. He loved fishing, gardening, and traveling especially to New Jersey and Florida. Mr. Turner is survived by his wife; Debra Hemple Turner of the home, his parents Charles and Verna (Mae) Turner of Woodlief, daughter; Nicole Sams Turner of Denton, brothers; Charles Turner, Jr. of Woodlief, Stanley Turner of Ocean View, NJ, and Richard Turner of Mocksville, adopted brother; Sean Turner of Woodlief, sister; Marie Parnell of Winston Salem and Wanda Gaither of Mocksville, and adopted sister; Madison Turner of Woodlief. The family will see friends Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
