Mary Smith

Mary Catherine Smith, 97, of Leach Road, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Autumn Care of Biscoe. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Macedonia Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Mark Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Montgomery County and a retired clipper from Russell’s Hosiery Mill. Surviving are sisters, Lena Vredenburg and Annie Freeman, both of Candor. The family will be at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, Candor, 6-8 p.m. Monday, other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 340, Biscoe N.C. 27209.
