Mary Peacock

Mary Lucille Little Peacock, age 100, of Denton died Tuesday, January 12 at her residence. Funeral service for Mrs. Peacock will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 15 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. James D. Reep and Rev. Jesse Clubb officiating. Burial will follow in Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Peacock was born January 28, 1909 in Guilford County to Alpheus Oscar and Dora Bell Hodgins Hayworth Little. She had worked at Adam-Millis Hosiery in High Point but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Carson Fred Peacock in 1989 and her grandson Tony Peacock in 2009. Mrs. Peacock is survived by her son Fred Carson Peacock of the home, one granddaughter and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Friday, prior to the service, at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
