Mrs. Mary Margaret Kinney Mitchell, 77, of Farmer Court, Denton, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at her residence. Funeral Service will be 11 AM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Elder. Earl Dean Yates, Elder Roger Coleman, and Elder Jackie Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the North Bend Cemetery. Born in Pikeville KY on August 6, 1938, she was the daughter of Belve and Pebble Gilliespie. She was a member of Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church in Haysi, VA. She is survived by her husband, Wallace Mitchell of the home; 2 sons, Richard Mitchell and Walley Mitchell, both of Denton; a brother, Tommy Kinney of Pikeville KY; a sister, Patsy Gillespie of Lexington KY; a half-sister, Beverly Ray Hicks of Shelby Gap, KY, and Fontella Griffith of Pikeville, KY ; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
