Mary Lee Crouse Kindley

Mary Lee Kindley, age 91 of Crousetown Rd., Lexington died Monday, October 13 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. Funeral service for Mrs. Kindley will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 16 at Canaan United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Foust officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Kindley was born October 29, 1916 in Davidson County to Reid Ward Crouse and Vida Ann Peacock Crouse. She had worked at Thornton Hosiery and retired from Sturdivant Hosiery in Denton. She was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the United Methodist women. She was also a member of the Extension Community Service. Mrs. Kindley was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Wayne Kindley in 1991. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ray and Aaron Crouse, sisters, Bessie Russell and Kate Smith and sister-in-law Frances Crouse. She is survived by a son Gary Wayne Kindley and wife Janice Kaye Markham Kindley of Denton, daughters, Mary Frances Kindley Lanier and husband David of Denton and Marilyn Kindley Taylor and husband Rocky of Lexington, sister, Marjorie Gallimore and husband Paul of Lexington and sister-in-law Vivian Crouse of Lexington. She is also survived by grandchildren, Roland Edward “Eddie” Steed, Jr., Gary Wayne Kindley, Jr., Cindy Lee Ramirez, Janice Michelle Snider, Deborah Lanier Rudd, David M. Lanier, II and Angela Lanier McHenry and great-grandchildren, Haley Dawn Steed, Dante Kindley, Kira Kindley, Darwin Kindley, Marshall Thomas Rudd, Joshua David Rudd, Rachel Ann Rudd, Lydia Grace Rudd, Mary Elizabeth Lanier, Olivia Christine Lanier, Jennifer Kate McHenry, Luke David McHenry, Benjamin Ramirez-Kindley, Gabriel Ramirez-Kindley, Carrie Snider, Amanda Snider and Jennifer Snider. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 pm Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the respective homes of the children.
