Mary Foster Johnson, 75, of Daniel Rd. Denton passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at High Point Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, July 18 at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Brown presiding. Mary was born May 18, 1945 in Davidson County to Roy Henry Foster, Sr. and Zella May Smith Foster. She was a member of Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church and had been employed with Klopman Mills. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Ray Johnson on Jan. 6, 2003. She is survived by daughter, Cathy Johnson of Denton; sons, Hubert, Lee, Jeff, and Wayne Johnson all of Denton; brothers, Roy Henry Foster, Jr. of Thomasville, Charlie Foster, Robert Foster, and Thomas Foster all of Denton; 6 grandchildren, Miranda Benton, Blake, Madison, Chris, Jessie, and Jayln Johnson; 2 great-grandchildren, Morgan and Paisley Benton. Mrs. Johnson will lie in state on Saturday from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is serving the Johnson family.
