Mary Lois Cody

Mary Lois Cody, 74 of Denton, died Friday, May 8, 2026 at her residence.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Josh Kepley officiating.  Burial will follow in Grubbs Grove Original Covenant Church of God Cemetery.

Born in Davidson County on May 16, 1951, she was the daughter of Marshall William and Ethel Hill Cody.  Mary was of the Baptist Faith.  She entrusted her soul to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 20, 2026.  She was an assembly person at Ultra-Mek for many years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Harrison and Betty Jean Leonard; brothers, Robert Lee Cody, Tom Cody and Joe Don Cody.  

Ms. Cody is survived by a sister-in-law, Deborah Cody; 2 brothers, Wayne Cody (Phyllis) and Ricky Cody (Kathy), all of Denton; sister, Onie Swaney of Denton.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service on Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
