Marvin James Johnson

Marvin James Johnson, 62, of Poor Boys Lane, Eagle Springs, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst.  A private service will be held at a later date.   Born May 1, 1956 in Graham County, he was the son of William Richard Johnson and Gladys Johnson Bailey.  He had worked in golf course maintenance for many years.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richie Johnson.   He is survived by his wife, Tammy Sheffield Johnson of the home; 2 sons, Kenneth Sheffield and Virgil Johnson, both of Eagle Springs; daughter, Tammy Johnson of Eagle Springs; 2 brothers, Bobby Johnson of Alvin Johnson, both of Robbinsville NC; 2 sisters, Lou Harris of Robbinsville and Gaynell Saylor of Dallas NC; 10 grandchildren.   Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements
