Marvin Gray Harrison

Denton, NC-Marvin Harrison Marvin Gray Harrison, age 77 of Old Hwy. 64 East, Lexington, died Monday, April 7 at Britthaven of Davidson. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, April 10 at Silver Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Little officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Harrison was born May 13, 1930 in Davidson County to Mose and Betty Cody Harrison. He was a charter member of Silver Valley Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and trustee. He owned and operated Harrison Used Cars. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Harrison who died in 1994. Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife, Marie Scarlett Harrison of the home, one daughter Peggy Harrison Gallimore and husband Keith of Lexington, one sister, Oneal Smith of Lexington, four grandchildren, Jerry Dean Harrison and wife Tonia of Lexington, Michelle Harrison, Melissa Kravitz and husband Sam, Holly Barker and husband Michael, six great-grandchildren, Callie Harrison, Daniel Harrison, Owen Harrison, Asa Garand, Lily Kravitz and Simon Kravitz. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home on Old Hwy. 64 East.
