Martha LouEllen Morton Thompson age 41, died Saturday, Jan. 11 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Uwharrie United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. William Saunders. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Troy and other times at the home of her parents on Substation Rd. in Troy. Martha was born June 24, 1972 in Montgomery County to Ricky Hurley and Cynthia Ann Morton. She had worked at Capel Rugs and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother; Gregory Lee Morton. Surviving in addition to her parents are daughter; Tiffney Ann Thompson of Troy, boyfriend; Michael Talbert of Troy, and grandmother; Ruth Morton of Troy.
