Martha Overcash Hulin

Mrs. Martha Jean Overcash Hulin, age 73, formerly of Hill Rd., Lexington, NC passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, September 4, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Eddie Hill. Interment will follow at Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 to 3:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home.

Martha was born on January 27, 1948, in Davidson County to James Overcash and Annie Bryant Woodard. She worked for Dogwood Hosiery where she was a Knitter and was a member of High Rock Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James “Bud” Hulin.

She is survived by daughters, Bonnie Jean Harris of Denton and Wendy Jean Lanier-Brewer and husband Darrell of Lexington; grandson, Dalton Brewer; great-grandchildren, Max and Sophia Braetzkus; sister, Virgil Morris of Thaomsville; nieces and nephews, Christy Morris, Carolyn Morris, Lisa Morris, Darlene Morris, Junie Lee Morris, and Ricky Morris.
