Marie Barbour Tipton

Marie Barbour Tipton, 78, of Richfield, NC passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at her residence.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 9, at High Rock Baptist Church Cemetery (Davidson County) conducted by Rev. Trevor Foster.

Marie was born in Four Oaks, NC on September 23, 1943, to Jake Thomas Barbour and Onnie Hall Barbour. She was a member of High Rock Baptist Church and had worked for a furniture company as the traffic manager. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Whaley, Brenda Gail Allen, and Mary Barbour Ownby; by a nephew, Scott Hill.

She is survived by daughters, Yvette Burks and husband Rick of Denton and Tonia Senn and husband Wiley of Albemarle; by a brother, Jerry Barbour of Warrenton; by a sister, Janice Cockrell of Kenly; by a 1 granddaughter, Caitlin Burks; by a nephew, Manley Barbour of Cumberland, VA; by niece, Kristina Benson and husband Kevin of Kenly; by grandnieces, Brilyn Parker and Presley.
