Marie Privett Meacham

Marie Privett Meacham, 74, of Candor, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 12 at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Free and Rev. Jack Phillips. Burial will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery. Marie was born July 1, 1941 in Moore County to Reid Privett and Margaret McCaskill Privett. She was a graduate of Candor High School and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She had worked at Spring Mills in Biscoe. In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husband Archie Meacham. Surviving are brothers, Johnson Privett (Judy) of Springfield, TN, Bobby Privett (Wanda), and Tim Privett (Faye) all of Candor; sister, Elaine Privett of Candor. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 2:45 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church prior to the service and other times at the home of her brother Tim Privett on HWY 220 S. Alt.
