EAGLE SPRINGS-Marie Blake Comer Marie Blake Comer, 80, of Candor Rd., Eagle Springs, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at her residence. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Eagle Springs United Methodist Church, with Rev. Donald Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. A native of Moore County, Mrs. Comer was born March 5, 1928, the daughter of Andrew and Essie Templeton Blake. She was a folder with Russell Hosiery. Mrs. Comer was preceded in death by her husband, James Comer in 1990 and a son, Jed Comer in 1998. Mrs. Comer is survived by a son, Jimmy Comer of Eagle Springs; 2 sisters, Irene Hauser of Tobaccoville and Jeanette Lewis of Candor; 2 grandchildren, Heather White of Candor and Leslie Parsons of Star; 2 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the home on Candor Rd., Eagle Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eagle Springs UMC, c/o James P.
