Marie Green Bruton

Marie Green Bruton,80, died Monday, July 9, 2007 at her residence at North Topsail Beach Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Parsons Grove UMC with Rev. William Saunders and Rev. Bill Mitchell. Burial will follow at Bruton Family Cemetery. A native of Richmond County, Mrs. Bruton was born February 22, 1927, the daughter of Jack Green and Ruth Steele Green. She lived the majority of her life in Montgomery County, and resided in North Topsail Beach for the last 10 years. Mrs. Bruton was a member of Parsons Grove UMC and an affiliate member of Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church. She retired after 30 years as an operating room technician from Montgomery Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bruton in 1995. She will truly be missed by family and friends. She is survived by two daughters: Sarah McRae and husband Joseph of North Topsail Beach and Susan Cray of Candor; two sons: James Bruton and wife Geniva of Mt. Gilead and Jesse Bruton of Candor; one sister: Nancy Kiser of Carthage; onw brother: Roger Green of Eagle Springs; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.10 The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship building at Parsons Grove UMC.
