Marianne Harbeck Anstey

Marianne Anstey, 83, formerly of Seven Lakes died peacefully on January 10, 2014 in Lynchburg, Virginia where she lived the last three years. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Chapel in the Pines Cemetery. Marianne was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Anstey, beloved mother of Carolyn (Roy) Fleming of Gilbertsville PA, Wayne (Kim) Anstey of E. Northport NY and Leslie Gryder of Lynchburg VA, cherished grandmother of Kyle, Kerylee, Kevin, Robert and Allison; and the beloved sister of Joan Decker of Miller Place, NY. Together with her husband, Marianne raised her family predominantly in Hicksville, NY. Upon their retirement they moved to the Seven Lakes community in West End, North Carolina. Marianne loved this area and enjoyed many years there. It will serve as her final resting place. The family will receive friends on Saturday January 18th from 2-5 pm at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor, NC. All expressions of sympathy are appreciated by the family, but a contribution to any local charity of your choice in Marianne’s name is preferred.
