Mrs. Margaret Gaddy Hughes age 84 of Grace Street, Greenwood SC, formerly of Denton, NC died Saturday, February 07, 2009. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 9 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Denton conducted by Rev. Richard Waldrep. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hughes was born in Weaverville, NC, the daughter of David Wesley and Ethel King Gaddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Allison Hughes, a son, David Allison Hughes and a brother, Frank Gaddy. Her greatest joy in life were her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Hughes of the home; 2 grandsons, Allen Hughes and his wife Cecily of Greenwood, SC and Brad Hughes and his wife Traci of Greenville, SC and five great-grandchildren, Kathleen, Janie and Margaret Ann Hughes and Bradley and Allison Hughes.
