Margaret Spivey Daniel, 78, of Denver Drive, Greensboro died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 at Moses Cone Hospital. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 13 at First United Methodist Church in Denton with Rev. William Foust and Rev. Ben Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Daniel was born April 15, 1929 in Guilford County to James Willis Spivey and Abigail Bell Spivey. She was a graduate of Denton High School and Rowan Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at Griffis Clinic and a homemaker in later years. She married Robert Lee (Bob) Daniel on Jan. 3, 1953 who preceded her in death on March 8, 1998. She was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church in Greensboro. Survivors include, Son, Michael Daniel and wife Bonni of Summerfield; Daughters, Donna Shepherd and husband Tom of Charlotte, Tisha Finison and husband Joe of Greensboro; brothers Paul Spivey of Trinity and Donald (Catfish) Spivey of Denton; sister Goldia Spivey of Denton; grandchildren, Caron S. Harper, Ben Shepherd, Amber D. Brown, Ashley Finison, Joey Finison, and step grandchildren Lauren Thalasinos and Erik Thalasinos. The family will see friends on Saturday from Noon to 1:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and at other times at the residence on Denver Drive in Greensboro.
