Margaret Beaman

Ms. Margaret Harmon Beaman age 96, of Tamworth Dr., Denton and formerly of Badin Lake passed away at her residence on Sunday, March 5, 2017. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, March 8 at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. James Cooper. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. Ms. Beamon was born October 14, 1920 in Davidson County to Seab Harmon and Abbie Giles Harmon. She owned and operated her own grocery store for many years and had donated land to Chandlers Grove United Methodist Church to be used for the church cemetery. She was preceded in death by husbands, Wallace Morris, Sr., Robert Blalock, Sr., and Bobby H. Beaman, and by sisters, Lena Cecil, Georgia Lamb, Ruby Ashworth, Irma Isom, Nellie Shaw, and Maie Vuncannon. She is survived by son, Wallace Morris, Jr. of New London; daughters, Glenda Scarboro of Denton and Ronie Jarrett of New London; brother, Milton Harmon of High Point; 6 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
