Margaret Ann Whitaker

Mrs. Margaret Ann Tolley Whitaker, 83, of Martin Farm Rd. Denton, NC passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at her residence.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Whitaker was born January 2, 1938 in Big Creek, West Virginia to Dallas Roosevelt Tolley and Frances Marie Hammitt Tolley. She was a member of Chapel Hill UMC and BBQ City Quilting Ladies’ Guild. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Earl A. Whitaker of the home; daughters, Robin Hiatt and Lisa Whitaker both of Denton, Olivia Sweeting of Florida, and Heather Poling of Beaufort, NC; grandchildren, Matthew Hiatt (Stephanie), Jacob Hiatt (Kristi), and David Whitaker; and 12 great-grandchildren.
